I write contemporary fiction with thrilling suspense, action, and mystery, and I long to create life-changing characters who find hope amid despair.
I’m passionate about listening, understanding what you’re going through, and discussing hard topics. I don’t sugar-coat reality, but I believe truth, honesty, and understanding bring freedom and such liberty sustains us even through less-than-perfect endings.

In 1980, my parents developed a Christian camp for children in the foster care system named Camp Alandale. I was five years old when they started directing camps out of our mountain home. I met my best friend, Jon Farmer, when he came to camp as a counselor. We married in the summer of 1995 and worked at a children’s group home for over 11 years together. He has been teaching special education for over 20 years, now.
I love writing, walking on the beach with my spouse, and picking blueberries. We live with my mother-in-law in Newport Beach, CA. and the three of us enjoy her spacious flower garden with fruit trees and a vegetable patch.
This is a place for me to share my fiction writing journey and other thoughts on living in the days of drought, seeking abundance, and how much God loves us.
The DAVID SERIES combines my passion for scripture and love of nature with some fast-paced suspense.
Imagine the Old Testament character of King David born of Jewish descent in Palmdale, California, 1973.
This thrilling challenge has provided a fresh way of looking at the many relevant lessons from the life of David, the only person in scripture named, “A man after God’s own heart”.

Though I have outlined a modern-day version of David’s life from 1973 to 2045, this project is beyond me in every way—mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. The progress I’ve made has surpassed my expectations. All glory to the Lord!
Through the storms of life, the Lord is my rock. He is my sustainer through the struggles of a chronic illness, and he blesses me with the deepest desires of my heart, including the healing gift of creative writing.
